The WWE Universe was left in stitches at the promotion’s recent house show on August 30 in North Charleston, South Carolina, after a familiar face dressed up as The American Nightmare and shocked everyone. Cody Rhodes and CM Punk defeated Gunther and Ricky Saints in the night’s main event Tag Team Match. As the two superstars celebrated, Danhausen made his way out dressed like The American Nightmare, immediately turning the post-match scene into a comedy act. Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil even had special headgear that looked similar to Cody’s Street Fighter character.
Danhausen’s surprise appearance breaks character
Danhausen’s unexpected attire appeared to catch both Rhodes and Punk off guard, with the two stars struggling to maintain their personas. Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil even managed to get the live crowd to sing “Happy Birthday” for Cody, who’d just celebrated his daughter’s birthday the night before. Unfortunately, Ricky Saints couldn’t be part of the celebrations.
He tried to get back in the ring and ruin the moment but received two Go To Sleeps from Punk for his troubles. Rhodes then smashed a cake in Saints’ face, after which he was cursed by Danhausen, making Ricky’s night go from bad to worse. You can check out a clip of the segment in the tweet below:

Danhausen says that former Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes “lies” while reigning Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk was busy signing autographs ahead of the house show in North Charleston, South Carolina, Danhausen got hold of Punk’s phone and started recording a video. The clip was later uploaded by CM Punk on his Instagram stories.

In a hilarious portion of the recording, Cody Rhodes was telling Punk and Danhausen that WWE official Charles Robinson was once in the Navy, and he’d just found out. Mr. Very Nice, Very Evil responded in a nonchalant manner to Rhodes’ story and said: “Cody lies.”
It will be interesting to see this trio on World Wrestling Entertainment television, as they have so far only appeared together in non-televised house shows.
