AEW World Trios Champions “Hangman” Adam Page and Brodido, composed of Brody King and Bandido, are set to defend their title against Swerve Strickland and the New Level at Full Gear 2026. The match will be a Texas Death match, a stipulation that Swerve Strickland has been pushing for weeks.
Swerve Strickland and Adam Page have a long and complex history, with their rivalry playing a significant role in the lead-up to this match. After being denied the match by Page, Strickland’s team, the New Level, brutally attacked Bandido, prompting Page and Bandido to finally agree to the Texas Death match on AEW Blood & Guts 2026.
The upcoming match has the potential to be one of the most brutal in the company’s history. Swerve Strickland recently expressed his satisfaction with the match’s confirmation, stating on X, “Love when a plan comes together.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, Swerve Strickland compared the challenge of creating a highly-rated album to delivering a five-star match, suggesting that the former is more difficult. As a rapper, Strickland has released several songs and has experience in both the music and wrestling industries.
Strickland, a former AEW World Champion, may have the opportunity to win the title again, depending on the outcome of the match at Full Gear 2026. His team’s determination to reclaim the title and his own history with Adam Page make for a compelling storyline leading up to the event.
