Tata IPL 2022 – Players Retained & Match Schedules

Tata IPL 2022 is just around the corner and the new season has many exciting things offer. The cash-rich tournament kickstarts from March 26 to May 29 and guaranteed endless excitement. Royal Challengers Bangalore has entertained the fans over the years and is popular for playing bold. The franchise retained Virat Kohli who stepped down as captain after the league last year. RCB also retained allrounder Glenn Maxwell and pacer Mohammad Siraj. RCB released Chahal, Padikkal, Sundar and Harshal Patel.  

Chennai Super Kings have retained their super cool skipper MS Dhoni, who made CSK a solid team in the league. CSK also retained Moeen, opener Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ravindra Jadeja. The current champions will look to continue their dominance in this season as well. 

Mumbai Indians continues its stint with skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav and Kieron Pollard. The five-time champions are favourites for this season too. 

Delhi Capitals kept Rishab Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw and Anrich Nortje. Delhi has displayed complete dominance over the years and emerged as one of the strong contender for the title.  

Rajasthan Royals retains Sanju Samson, Jos Butler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. The winner of inaugral IPL believs in encouraging the young talent and strives to groom them. 

Kolkata Knight Riders kept their faith in their longtime members Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, along with young Varun Chakravarthy and Venkatesh Iyer. The two-time champions have not been performing well and there is no doubt that KKR will play for the lost glory. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad will continue with Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik. While absence of David Warner, Jason Roy and Jason Holder is a massive blow for the team, SRH is known for expect the unexpected. 

Punjab surprised everyone by letting KL Rahul, but the franchise retained Mayank Agarwal, Arshdeep Singh. Capable of changing the fortunes, Punjab must focus on consistency and develop winning attitude.
