On September 22, Bayern Munich faces Manchester City in a highly anticipated clash. Both teams enter as strong contenders following successful domestic campaigns. Bayern, having secured a league and cup double in Germany, aims to build on their semifinal appearance last season. City, returning to the UWCL after a one-year absence, boasts a strengthened squad after winning the WSL and FA Cup in England.
Striking Powerhouse Clash
This match showcases two of the sport’s top strikers: Pernille Harder of Bayern and Khadija Shaw of City. Harder’s clinical finishing and Shaw’s physical presence promise a thrilling battle upfront. Both teams favor an attacking style, with Bayern’s fluid passing game contrasting City’s direct approach, ensuring an exciting contest for fans.

Another key fixture takes place on November 11, when Barcelona meets Arsenal in a rematch of the 2025 final. The Catalan side underwent significant changes during the summer, most notably losing Alexia Putellas, a key figure in their midfield. Facing Arsenal early will be a critical test for their new-look squad.

The midfield contest will be central to the match. Aitana Bonmatí, returning from injury, aims to reassert her influence for Barcelona. This could very well be the game that decides first place in the league phase. It’ll be Bayern’s chance to get revenge after falling just short last season against the eventual champions. Other than Arsenal at home this will be Barça’s toughest test of the league phase. Barça will likely be firing on all cylinders when we get to December.
